About Bradshaw Consulting and the Castaloy Family of Products

Bradshaw Consulting, Inc. was founded in 2000 as an IT and business consulting firm. Over the following years, the company identified a series of unmet needs in the metal repair market and launched three specialty product lines that have since helped thousands of customers repair rather than replace metal items.

Alumaloy launched in 2003 as an easier solution to aluminum repair. Welding aluminum tends to generate more heat damage than good, often warping or burning through thin material. Alumaloy is a fluxless, low-temperature brazing rod requiring only a propane torch.

Castaloy followed in 2005, addressing the equally challenging problem of cast iron repair. Cast iron is one of the most difficult metals to weld due to its high carbon content and extreme sensitivity to thermal shock. Castaloy works at just 550 degrees Fahrenheit, well below temperatures that cause failure, producing repairs stronger than the original material.

Steelaloy launched in 2008, completing the product family with a propane-torch solution for all grades of steel, including stainless steel and copper.

The founder of Bradshaw Consulting, Derrick Bradshaw, is credited with helping establish some of the earliest web hosting infrastructure. That same spirit of building practical, accessible solutions drives the Castaloy product family today.
