What You Can Repair

Steelaloy repairs any grade of steel: tools, machine parts, automotive components, brackets, frames, fixtures, fittings, pipes, agricultural equipment, trailer parts, hinges, latches, gates, railings, and more. You can even fabricate missing or broken parts from scratch.

How to Use Steelaloy , 3 Simple Steps

  1. Clean & Prep , Thoroughly clean the surface with a wire brush. Apply the surface liquid prep (a small bottle comes with every pound of Steelaloy).
  2. Heat , Using a propane torch, heat the base metal (not the rod). Keep the flame moving until the Steelaloy rod melts on contact with the surface.
  3. Apply , Touch the Steelaloy to the heated area and allow it to flow freely into the repair. Direct the flowing alloy to cracks, gaps, or areas that need building up. Let cool.

The result? A permanent weld that is stronger than the original steel, ready to be filed, ground, painted, or finished however you choose.
